TJ Worsencroft is the founder of Navigate Risk Advisors, where he helps families, business owners, and organizations prepare for life’s uncertainties through personalized insurance solutions. His agency’s name, Navigate Risk Advisors, reflects both his professional mission and his personal journey — one rooted in leadership, service, and navigation.
That journey began as a Boy Scout in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, where TJ learned how to navigate by compass, eventually earning the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 636. At Baldwin Wallace University, he continued to lead as a four-year varsity letterman and team captain on the Swimming & Diving team, while also serving as a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. In 1997, he began a 12-year career with the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves, where deployments around the world with Port Security Unit 309 — and leadership at USCG Station Marblehead — sharpened his skills in decision-making, navigation, and service to others.
Today, those experiences guide TJ in helping his clients navigate risks with confidence. Just as importantly, they drive his dedication to community. He has served in leadership roles with Horizon Education Centers; Past President, the Boy Scouts of America; Lake Erie Council; Past Executive Board Member, North Coast Chamber of Commerce; Past President and numerous chambers of commerce. He is also an active member of Entrepreneur Organization (EO) Cleveland, Bay Village Men’s Club, Point Yacht Club, Chris Craft Commander Club and Huron Yacht Club always seeking opportunities to support others and strengthen connections.
Family is at the heart of TJ’s story. He and his wife, Susan — a high school chemistry teacher, church volunteer, and Girl Scout leader — live in Avon Lake, Ohio with their four children: Isaac, Xavier, Julia, and Saige. Their family enjoys time on their 1969 38’ Chris Craft Commander “Capernaum,” traveling, attending Broadway shows and supporting local nonprofits. Rounding out the crew is their German Shepherd, “Captain Skags.”
With every role — husband, father, business owner, veteran, and community leader — TJ lives out a commitment to leadership, service, and legacy.
