Frederick D. “Dan” McLaughlin III joined Navigate Risk Advisors in 2016 as a licensed Property & Casualty and Life & Health agent. Dan plays a key leadership role within the firm and helps oversee several National Franchise Programs, supporting franchise owners across the country with thoughtful, advisor-led insurance guidance.
Dan brings decades of experience to Navigate. Beginning in 2010, he served as Vice President of a Cleveland-area property and casualty agency, where he focused on commercial business insurance, personal home and auto insurance, and long-term risk management and wealth preservation strategies. Prior to his work in insurance, Dan spent twenty years as President and owner of a manufacturers’ representative business, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges business owners face and the importance of proactive risk planning.
A graduate of University School and the University of Michigan, Dan is deeply committed to service and community involvement. He is an active member of the Northeast Ohio Ronald McDonald House Golf Committee, attends Parkside Church, and teaches tennis on weekends at the Chagrin Valley Athletic Club.
Dan lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and was recently married to his wife, Sue, in November. He enjoys golfing, playing tennis and platform tennis, and spending time with his four children—Mac (Sarah), Caroline, Claire, and Charlie.
